in 7 hours I'm going to be getting married to my best friend. how the heck did I get so lucky? the only thing that can dampen my spirits now is those dirty rain clouds

Sooo Close!

OH MY GOODNESS! IN LESS THAN ONE WEEK I WILL BE A MARRIED WOMAN! I'm getting so nervous and excited and worried! I'm hoping that I somehow got everything done I needed to get done. Yesterday around 5:00 I looked at Eric and said "this time next week we'll be married". What a crazy thought!

I can't wait to see all of you and graduate!

One week

It is almost one week until the big day and I am ready to go crazy! I knew these last few weeks would be hectic and chaotic, but I don't think I was mentally prepared for all of the insanity that has been going on!
The extended forecast keeps changing from rainy to sunny to partly cloudy and I wish it would just make up its mind!

Oops

Sorry for being a little inactive recently! It has been a BUSY weekend. My birthday, bachelorette party, and my last day teaching all fell on the same day. It was a blast though, a sad blast, but still a blast. Eric and I celebrated my birthday with a picnic in the park and by some miracle the weather cooperated!
Eric is celebrating his bachelor party at this very moment and the countdown to the wedding says 13 days.
I'm starting to get soo nervous and excited. This is going to be the best day ever!

Good news!

My wedding dress came in today! I tried it on and I knew it was the one when I started crying. It just hit me like a ton of bricks that I am actually getting married to the love of my life. Holy Cow.

Weddin' Shoes

Well folks, Erics special made shoes FINALLY came in, I was starting to get worried, but they are PERFECT! This may have been my best wedding idea yet. I clearly am a wedding genius who could be a paid professional planner!

What a week!

This week has been pretty crazy! Rita insisted that my registry was inadequate, so I got to go crazy at Target with a point and shoot scanner gun, and oh man, was it fun! Then I found out that Kaleila's and Marcy's dresses are different! (this was a tense moment for me, but I was able to just shrug it off, luckily)
THEN
I picked out the tuxes for the guys, and oh man, will they look sharp! Tomorrow I am going with my photographer to the cite so that she can scope out and plan how best to photograph all of your lovely faces!

Photo inspiration

I was going through pictures I wanted taken with my photographer and I came across this one that I ADORE! Then I realized that the book it is on is actually Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Needless to say I fell in love even more. Although I will probably use a bible or a book of love poems I still LOVE this idea.

Everything is coming around

Well I bought centerpieces! and bouquets for the girls and boutonnieres! I'm so accomplished! Only 30-some days left!

Another dress arrives!

Well upon my return from a fantastic U of I trip Kaleila's dress came in, and I tell you what, I've got GREAT taste!
I also managed to snag some ADORABLE thank-you cards, which you can all look forward to ooh-ing and aww-ing over in the future!

Spring Break!

As I left for a weekend trip to U of I for spring break, Marcy's dress came in, and from the looks of the pictures it's damn pretty! I'm excited!

And then I started dreaming CRAZY dreams about my wedding. I've had them the last three nights, and I must be getting mildly stressed about it because these dreams are both funny and worrisome! :/

Just an Update

All the necessities are booked. The dresses ordered. The plans made. I could not be more excited or more relieved that this is coming together so nicely. I'm truly blessed to have things work out so easily when it comes to the wedding. THANK GOODNESS.

Vows

I started writing my vows today and I stumbled across this pretty little paragraph. I doubt I will incorporate it in my vows (I don't want to say the D-word at my wedding!) but I would like to share it with you.

Good news

Not only has our guest list just passed the 70 attending mark, but I also am excited because I just ordered mine and Erics custom-made wedding shoes! WOOHOO!

Something to think about

I saw these national geographic videos and it got me thinking about how many people get married everyday and how each and every one of those celebrations are special and unique in their own way. I started thinking about how someone could be getting married tomorrow, counting down to one of the most significant days of their life, and tomorrow will be inconsecuential and average for me. hmmmm....

Great News Weekend

When it rains it pours, and that can also be said for good things too! If you're reading this that means you are probably not only coming to a wedding this May, but you're also coming to MY COLLEGE GRADUATION! Hoorah! I got the official word this weekend that I have been approved for graduation. I'm pretty proud of this considering Eric and I put me through college, and for most of it without any outside help!

Soooo....to celebrate this there will be a huge graduation party! More details will come, but I am SUPER excited that while you're here you'll be able to see me graduate!

As the days tick away leading closer to the BIG DAY I am getting more and more excited! I can't decide if I want time to fly by, or if I should try and savor these last few months of craziness.

I forgot how expensive stamps are getting. Tomorrow I've got to go to Costco and buy a few hundred forever stamps so that all of the people I love will get their invitations. I can't wait to start getting response cards!
Also, Sunday I bought my WeDdInG DrEsS!!!! I am sooo excited! May will be here before you know it!

Another busy week

I feel so accomplished! This week I wrangled a group together to assemble invitations, AND I put my deposit down on my reception location AND hired a DJ. Life is sweet when the world is working with you. Now I just have to hope that the weather holds out and that I can get myself some forever stamps to get these BEAUTIFUL invitations sent out!

To top it all off I am going to a wedding today! I love seeing other people in love!

Blog Post 1

Well we FINALLY found a day that suites Eric and I for a wedding and I could not be more excited. In one weekend I am going to graduate from college and get married to my best friend. I don't think life gets much sweeter than this.
Since we decided to have a big weekend celebration of graduation and marriage I am going to have one hectic Spring. I am enrolled full-time at Boise State and student teaching in Middleton. I guess you could say I like things crazy, and I think I will have fun putting Eric to work on wedding-related jobs.
